COVID-19 UPDATE

COVID-19 UPDATE: In the current lockdown Professional Organizers are still able to operate as usual. I have been fully vaccinated (and boosted) for my safety and the safety of my clients’ and community. I have rapid tests available to use if Client requests.

What changes are happening in my business?

  1. Virtual Organizing will remain an option for those who are isolating or who prefer it

  2. All initial assessments will be conducted virtually rather than in person, to limit contact to the public. If potential clients are not able to do a virtual assessment, we will arrange to do one in person, while following safety precautions.

  3. Client and Organizer will pre-screen themselves the day before or morning of organizing session. Questions will include:

    • Have you had any of the following symptoms: fever, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, runny nose, feeling unwell?

    • Have you been in close contact with someone who has been sick or has confirmed Covid-19 in the past 14 days?

    • Have you returned from travel outside of Canada in the past 14 days?

If any of these questions are “yes” for either of us, the session will be postponed for the appropriate timeline based on the answers to these questions. If anyone answers “yes” to these questions they should self-isolate for 14 days.

  4. If the Client or Organizer are feeling any sickness or symptoms of Covid-19, they must alert the other party immediately so they know to self-isolate and prevent the spread.

  5. Both parties are consenting to work together, so if either party should get sick during the time frame that sessions are scheduled, no fault is put on Client or Organizer.

  6. A specific contract will be signed in addition to regular forms at the assessment stating the changes in business for Covid-19.

  7. New precautions are put in place on my part when entering a customer’s home:

    • I will wear a face covering at all times while in Client’s home, and I will ask the Client to as well, if they are able to. If there are times when I need to take off my mask (eg. to have a drink of water), I will do so 6 feet away from Client.

    • Upon entering the home I will sanitize with alcohol-based hand sanitizer or wash my hands for 20 seconds.

    • I will always have hand sanitizer with at least 70% alcohol content in my organizing bag/kit and use it whenever necessary.

    • If we need to take a break for a snack or rest, we will take breaks in different areas (eg. I will go to my car or go outside so I can take off my mask to eat).

    • I will always try to stay at least 6 feet away from my Client. If the room is not large enough to accommodate this, we will try to work in a separate area/bring items to a larger room to work.

    • Any contracts that need to be signed will be done so by printing/scanning/emailing where possible, to eliminate the need for in-person signed documents.

    • Any other precautions that Client and/or Organizer feel are necessary depending on unique situations will be determined and discussed by both parties.
